UB 1-6 Watch Winder Instructions:
Features:
  • Continuous or Interval operation
  • Randomly changing winding direction for watches winding unidirectional
  • Great retaining spring flexibility for ladiesīand gentīs watches (15-22 cm)
  • High retaining power for heavy watches
  • Very silent gearmotor (30-50 dbA)
  • Integrated Analogue Quartz Reference Clock (for precise time setting)
Components (see image to the left):
  1. Made in Germany PU (Polyurethane) case, color grey
  2. Analogue Quartz Reference Clock
  3. Interval mode indicator lamp (red)
  4. Control Switch (I - 0 - II):
    • I = Interval
    • 0 = Off
    • II = Continuous
  5. Spider head with 6 retaining springs
  6. Wire with 110V AC-plug

Operation:
  1. Plug in. Set the switch to the 0-position.
  2. Put on watches: Put on a watch, dial frontward, by pressing the two spring-loaded holder parts together. Make sure that the watch can rotate freely and no parts touch the winder case during rotation. Always put the watches on opposite holders to provide max. weight balance.
  3. Interval Mode (I): Set switch to pos. I. The red lamp goes on. The winder rotates now every 20 min. for about 10 min. During operation it automatically changes direction of rotation randomly.
  4. Continuous Mode (II): Set switch to pos. II. The red lamp will extinguish. By switching on and off you can also switch direction of rotation manually. Have it running in continuous mode for a max. of 8 hours, then switch to interval mode or off.
To prevent a too monotonous movement pattern the head will joggle a little from time to time.
The running noise is 30-50 dbA (measured 1 m from the case). Different noise levels on clockwise and anticlockwise rotation will level off soon.
Safety Notes:
  1. Do not open the case, repair attempts by unauthorized personnell makes the warranty expire.
  2. Donīt switch on the winder immediately after it got from cold into a warm room. Condensed water may destroy the electronics. First allow it to adapt to room temperature.
  3. The device must be protected against wetness and humidity
  4. Never try to turn the spider head by hand! This may result in gear malfunction!
  5. Before putting watches on and off the winder, always set the switch to the 0-position first.
