| KING SIZE DATE Classic + Flieger
| Your Nienaber KING SIZE DATE watch is equipped with a date window
approx. twice as large as normal, yet is the date shown in a non-split, single window, not
divided by a center bar and also are one-digit date figures shown in the center of the window and not offset to the right
like it is the case on all other watches on the market with a big date window.
Date changeover:
The KING SIZE date is indicated via two discs lying beneath each other. The lower disc with
date from 1. to 17. is lying 0.3 mm beneath the upper one with date from 18. to 31.
For comparison: A piece of paper is 0.2 mm thick!
The date changes at 24 oīclock instantaneously. On changeover from one disc to another
(16->17 or 31 -> 1) both discs are engaged simultaneously and it can take slightly
longer than normal, not a malfunctioning, but caused by additional gear shifting.
Setting date manually:
Donīt set the date when the date wheels are interacting, i.e. around midnight and
from 16.->17. and 31.->1. of a month.
The best time for setting the date (becomes necessary about every two months) is around noon.
Unscrew the crown and pull it out. At Pos.1, you can set the date. From 1. to 17., tune
the crown clockwise and counter-clockwise
from 18. to 31. To prevent
malfunctioning or damage to the date mechanism, follow these
instructions precisely and donīt change the date setting too quickly. Push and simultaneously screw in the crown tight again.
